If you happen to be cruising to or from Stockholm on June 25 -27, join the Midsummer celebrations at Skansen (and if you’re not cruising to or from Stockholm, book your cruise quickly!).
Founded in 1891, the world’s oldest open-air museum features 150 historic buildings from all over Sweden and a zoo. Skansen is miniature Sweden all in one place.
To celebrate the highlight of the year for Swedes, Skansen offers a number of activities designed for families and adults.
On Midsummer Eve, Friday, June 25, children can join in to make birch leaf wreaths in the morning; families can watch the raising of the maypole in the afternoon; and all can participate in the dancing and games as well as participate in programs presented in both English and Swedish.
On Midsummer Day, Saturday, June 26, there will be family dancing and games around the maypole and later, a folk dance group performance. Events continue through Sunday, June 27.

I’ve never been on a cruise in Sweden, but your blog really makes me want to check it out. Been in Sweden many times, but that’s just been road trips and never out at sea.
